I am Bruce Fitzgerald. The Admin. I rule with an iron fist. I have a Windrider 17 (Tri-Me) with the Windfisher desk built. I use a big Gazelle tent on it. I hail from the New Orleans area. I mainly sail out of Madisonville LA and around the Gulf, mainly Biloxi Ms. I LOVE sailing around Deer Island!

Bruce Woods, New Bern, NC. I have a 2004 WindRider 17, have missed the old forum and have been on 2 facebook groups for WindRider.
I can’t believe I missed knowing about this new forum. My friend Richard Ceballos told me about it.
Well done!

I am Jude Miller from SW Louisiana. Bruce got me hooked on the Windrider 17 the first time I sailed with him. I've sold my SCAMP and I'm looking to buy a WR17 as soon as possible. That autopilot looks pretty cool :-)

I'm Tim from San Jose, California. I have a 2001 WR-16 I picked up about three weeks ago. I mainly sail in Redwood Creek at the south end of the SF Bay, but given how lightweight and easy to tow this boat is, I hope to take it to other locations for weekend/overnight trips.
A post from Bruce Fitzgerald on FaceBook's WindRider*tm page, clued me into this site.
Thanks for hosting this site, Bruce! Great idea!

Dave Allison here in NW lower Michigan, not far from 'the big lake'. I was DaveRave113 on the 'old' forum. I have 1.5 Raves, the second for a project boat or spare parts. Project boat? Yes. I'd love to be able to have a much faster set-up time. I'd like to be able to launch with amas half deployed and foils entirely inboard of the amas so I can use ramps sized for standard monohulled boats - being limited to beach launch or ramps 20-feet wide and no pylons too close together just beyond the ramp is something I'd like to change. I'm looking forward to reading interesting posts from other WR sailors!

I'm Andy. I was Andy, Seattle on the old forum. I have a 2008 WR 17 and sail mostly on Lake Washington in the Seattle area, but do take her out on the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. I love camping on and off the 17. I have set up a very efficient rowing rig with sliding seat which has freed me from the tyranny of internal combustion but instead has trapped me to the confines of weather and tides! I am hopeful this forum will take off sometime: I miss the thoughtful advice I'd get from the old forum, which has been replaced by a lot of noise on the FB pages. Cheers.

I'm Bob Smolenski. We have been keeping the high school team on the water for most of the pandemic. Recently we had the good fortune to be gifted a Rave. Currently fixing it up and looking for a reacher sail kit. Located in Alameda, CA at the Community Sailing Center. Hoping to have the boat in the water soon and teach the teens to get their foiling wings.

Hello, getting my '17 hopefully this week. Just a quick comment, even though it's 1st time aboard, on member list it shows- Member name/ name- both are the same. Perhaps real name, member name and location would be more informative. I lived in Titusville fl for 18 years and had a Aquadyne Sailbird. It was difficult(Impossible for me!) to rig it. I met R Cebellos thru a friend and fell in love with the Windrider. I had researched before but never saw up close. Hopefully I'll learn a lot from these pages so get ready for thousands of questions!
