Have a new as of last year 17 and have had issues with the floor being spongy in the aft where the floor ends well when sitting in the seat it bows back and hits on the lip of the cockpit and started rubbing threw the seat.
My solution that seems to have fixed the issue without much effort is a few layers of 2” hard closed cell foam under the false floor to brace it up. I also put one layer behind the seat. All of this is loose but tight enough not to move but still moveable Incase of any issue.
Anyway I’ve done several modifications most small a few that were specific to my needs since I park in a covered boat lift and have to bring pontoons in and lower mast each time out so I had to reduce that time to 10 mins to make daily outings fun.
I also have made the motor mount moveable on the fly if anyone is interested in any of these I’ll take pictures of this or any of the other mods have been a sort of back yard engineer for some time and everything looks like it came from factory if that makes any difference.
So just let me know if anyone wants more info.
Thanks for the group invite.

Deckard,
I haven't had a problem with my rear seat floor. I am interested in how you bring in your amas (pontoons), how you lower your mast and your moveable motor mount. Descriptions, pictures or videos will be much appreciated. Thank you for your creativity.

Will do I’ll see if I can put something together.
Lowering the mast however I do manually. My last boat was a catalina 22 and had no possible way to lower the mast without a lowering system I crafted but this boat the mast is light enough I have to issue.
The pontoons I’ll show I do my best to keep things simple less to go wrong thr challenge with the pontoons and the tramps on the water was getting the tramps tight while on the boat had to reverse the pull so that it pulls from inside the boat to tighten.
The amas I hard turtle waxed up with them completely removed and they slide in and out effortlessly I thought they were going to be way more of an issue than they ended up being.
Anyway sure I’ll take some detailed photos and or video to show what I’ve done thus far including the incredible cup holders I found that perfectly attach to the support post between your legs. Sounds silly but I can’t believe how perfect they fit. Lol. It’s the small things.
