Wow on his way to Belize that's a little bit bigger trip than I thought these little boats could take I appreciate the feedback though just trying to do some research getting ready to sell my house and going to be looking for a 17 and that was just one of the trips I was thinking about doing to the tortugas thank you

Jeremy, I just bought a Windrider 17 in Sarasota, FL last month.
I will be sailing in the Tampa/Clearwater in March and April. Sailing from the Florida Keys to Dry Tortugas would be a fun trip to do with a couple of boats.
Let me know if you have purchased the boat.

It looks doable. You could probably make a three day to a week long trip of it by stopping off at the wildlife refuge and the Marquesas. Just make sure to bring enough provisions. They don't have any at Port Jefferson.
