Hi all, new owner of a rave , excited to try it when summer comes. Ihave been sailling for around 14 or 15 year on bigger keel boat like the tanzer 28 we still own. Is there anything that i need to know before going out and trying the rave? The name of my rave is 1* (asstorisq)

Congratulations! I love my rave. Unfortunately this board doesn't get much traffic, if you're on facebook you might want to join the windrider group www.facebook.com/groups/37151069560How much maintenance has it had? Check the bungees and the foil release latches. The latches can become brittle and break. I've machined my own, but you can still get some parts from John McDaniel Aquarius Sail info@aqsail.com You will find that sailing this thing is completely different than a monohull as things happen so much faster. Instead of trimming the sails to the point of sail, I set the sails to where the wind will end up being somewhere around a close to beam reach and bear away into it. That way you pick up speed and can hold onto the bungees to trim until you get up and flying, then steer and use the bungees to trim it out. You will definitely need wind though it's difficult to foil in much less than 15 knots I find. Do you have the screecher?
